SANRAL will undertake SANRAL several road infrastructure development projects in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, where SMMEs are intended to benefit and participate meaningfully in line with the roads agency’s Transformation Policy that strives for an inclusive construction industry. The projects to be undertaken within the municipality include the N6 national road Ducats to the N2/ N6 (Nahoon) project, N2 End Freeway to Gonubie River, Freeway Management System (FMS), and the R72 Gxulu River to King Phalo Airport.

Aptly titled Taking SANRAL to the People, the session will also provide an opportunity for SANRAL to unpack its sub-contracting and job opportunities in Buffalo City.

The Taking SANRAL to the People programme is a unique platform for SANRAL to provide an overview of economic opportunities that arise from its projects and engage stakeholders on its transformation agenda. This is in line with the road agency’s fourth pillar of Stakeholder, which requires it to consult stakeholders about all project-related activities in their communities. The consultative sessions also help SMMEs to position themselves to access opportunities from SANRAL’s national road network.

The details of the session are as follows:

  • Date: Tuesday, 3 June 2025
  • Time: 10h00 – 13h00
  • Venue: Farmers Showground Hall, Brakfontein, Gonubie, East London
  • RSVP: Lwando Mahlasela on 082 440 5305 or mahlaselal@nra.co.za.

Members of the media are invited to attend
