A 29-year-old rape suspect is in police custody after allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman on Saturday 20 May 2023 at Ntlavukazi locality Lambasi A/A.
The victim alleges that she was at her homestead when she was invited by a known man to go with him to a local tavern for a drink. While on the way, the suspect pretended that he had forgotten to lock his room and asked the victim to go back with him, to which she agreed.
When she indicated that she will wait for him at the gate, he grabbed and dragged her to his room where she was raped.
