ANC member Pule Mabe and six others have been granted bail of R30,000 each following their court appearance at the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. The charges stem from allegations of corruption related to a R27 million tender awarded in 2017 to a company allegedly linked to Mabe.
Mabe voluntarily surrendered to the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Investigation Unit in Gauteng prior to the court appearance. While in court, Mabe maintained his innocence, dismissing the charges as false and pleading not guilty.
