On 3 November 2025, Port St John’s Local Municipality held day one of its Council Computer Training. The session aimed to enhance digital literacy, improve modern operations, and strengthen community service.

What Happened

Council members attended the training to learn essential computer skills. The programme covered basic computer use, productivity software, and digital communication tools. Participants engaged actively as facilitators guided them through practical exercises.

Purpose and Impact

The training was designed to help councillors adapt to modern administrative systems and digital workflows. Organisers said it formed part of the municipality’s commitment to improving efficiency and service delivery. “This training was an important step towards modernising our municipality and equipping leaders with the skills needed in a digital era,” said one facilitator.
