SAPS Kabega Park detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the next of kin of an unknown male whose body was found on the beach on the 28th of August 2023.
It is alleged that at about 08:30, a couple was walking on the beach about a kilometre from the Van Staden’s resort towards the Gamtoos side when they noticed a body on the sand. The deceased is a black male between 40-50 years. Police know him as a vagrant who had no fixed abode.
It is suspected that he may have fallen ill and died. He did not drown.
An inquest is opened for investigation.
Police is appealing to anyone who can assist in identifying the deceased or may know his next of kin, to contact SAPS Kabega Park detectives
