SAPS Management has expressed shock and concern at yet another violent incident which erupted on Monday, the 19th September 2022 in the morning at Majola Administrative Area in Port St Johns.
Police received an emergency call from members of the community reporting a shooting that had taken place in the area. On their arrival, they witnessed four (4) burnt homesteads in Lwandlana locality.
During the shooting, it is alleged that a 22 year old man sustained bullet wounds on the upper body and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The assailants are not known at this stage.
However, a case of attempted murder and Arson were opened for a further investigation. The curcumstances surrounding the incidents are currently under investigation. No arrest made at this stage. Investigation continues.
