A 55-year-old man from Sikhulu locality in the Mantusini Administrative Area has been arrested for allegedly raping his 53-year-old neighbour, who lives with a mental illness.

The incident is reported to have occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, 12 August 2025, at around 00:15. According to police, the victim was asleep when she was allegedly attacked by the suspect. A rape case was quickly opened at Lusikisiki Police Station.
