On Tuesday, 6 September, on behalf of the Mayor, a member of the Mayor’s executive Councillor Lusapho Mcambalala handed over the Lenard To Simakadeni Access road which is about 3.5km in Mqeni village in ward 19.
While making a speech, honourable Councillor Mcambalala said,
“Today we are handing over this road to you as residents, which means this road is yours, as the government we are urging you to take care of it and know that our doors are open.”
The Mayor of the day praised the work done by the contractor because it was expected that the road would be completed in six months time but it only took four months.
