Eastern Cape-born gospel powerhouse Lusanda Mcinga is pleading poverty. She said since the Covid-19 pandemic it has been a struggle for her, it has been over two years since she hasn’t had any gigs.

My children help but Betusile is the only one working, he gives me a little money when he can, but it doesn’t solve all my problems, – said Lusanda in the video.

Lusanda said all her cars were repossessed by the banks during Covid-19 because she could not make payment arrangements as she was broke. According to her since the pandemic she has been living on handouts.

“I am currently getting financial assistance from those who think of me, and they give me R200 and sometimes R300 which to me is like millions of rands,” she said.

The gospel singer wants to go to a studio and record her new album to close off her musical career. She is asking for donations so she could be able to pay for the studio, back-up vocalists, accommodation and someone to compile her album.

She is pleading to anyone who can help her to please do so and said any amount would be appreciated.
