Four people have been brutally killed in two separate incidents in Airport Valley, Walmer — prompting a full police manhunt and condemnation from Eastern Cape officials.
What Happened
According to the Eastern Cape Department of Community Safety, the killings took place on Sunday and Monday (15–16 December 2025) in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro. All four victims were found dead in Airport Valley, a crime hotspot in Walmer.
The motive behind the murders remains unknown. However, police have confirmed they are actively investigating and pursuing the suspects.
“We want to warn the suspects… police are working around the clock,” said MEC Xolile Nqatha.
Official Response
Transport and Community Safety MEC Xolile Nqatha described the murders as “heinous crimes” and extended his condolences to the families affected. He called on the South African Police Service to intensify their efforts and expressed confidence in their ability to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims.
