TKZee member Tokollo Tshabalala, famously known as ‘Magesh’ has sadly passed on. The 45- year old was known for his good music with the iconic and legendary Kwaito group TKZee amongst the likes of Kabelo Mabalane and Zwai Bala.

Press release statement by the family stated and confirmed his death this morning. Tshabalala’s body was found lifeless by his family and was immediately transported to a forensic lab for tests to find the cause of death. According to the press release statement Magesh died after an epileptic seizure this morning, Monday, 15 August 2022.

The Kwaito legend was praised and admired throughout his music career for his songwriting and rapping skills.

“Magesh was an amazing lyricist” tweeted a fan.

Tokollo was also one of the original members of Mashamplani, a chart- topping Kwaito band and that is when his music career sky- rocked. Together with his high-school friends Kabelo, Zwai and himself, formed a trio that would later become one of South Africa’s legendary kwaito group. TKZee is an acronym of the first letters of the three.

His passing sent shockwaves through social media platforms fans, friends and family are still in disbelief of his passing.

His family has asked for privacy as they grieve his passing during this difficult period. However, more details regarding the memorial will be communicated in due course.
