Exxaro Resources and Eskom are set to formalize a pivotal partnership aimed at advancing climate action and ensuring a just transition to a low-carbon economy. The two entities will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday, 14 April 2025, at Exxaro’s Head Office in Centurion.
This collaboration marks a major step forward in aligning South Africa’s energy and mining sectors with global sustainability goals. The MoU reflects a mutual commitment to responsible environmental practices and transitioning to cleaner energy solutions, in line with national and international climate targets.
The event will commence at 09:00 and will also be accessible via Microsoft Teams, allowing virtual participation. Stakeholders and members of the media are invited to witness this strategic alignment between one of the country’s largest energy utilities and a leading diversified resources group.
