EASTERN CAPE CONGRESS OF TRADITIONAL LEADERS CONGRATULATES THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS ON THEIR 9th ELECTIVE CONGRESS IN THE EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE.

The Eastern Cape Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (“Contralesa”) congratulates the African National Congress (ANC) for having concluded the 9th Elective Congress in East London at which we were represented by our delegation, led by our Provincial Chairperson Nkosi: Mwelo Nonkonyana (Zanemvula!).

Contralesa says ANC listened to the leadership of the ANC in conducting themselves in such a manner that the Congress could conclude its business; trust that all will accept the result and rally behind the elected leadership.

The Eastern Cape Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa congratulates all those who accepted their invitation to contest the position to serve the ANC for their conduct in their respective campaigns and these include Comrades, Babalo Madikizela and Mlibo Qoboshiyane.

“Above all, we wish that they have accepted the result so that all supporters can go rally behind the elected leadership, in the interest of the ANC.”

Lastly, Contralesa congratulates Comrade Oscar Mabuyane for having been elected to serve the ANC for the second term, together with all those elected to leadership position.

“We trust they will be able to carry the aspirations of all organisation members as the leader of Mass Democratic movement.”

In line with their conference resolution, they pledge to support the newly elected leadership and trust that theywill resolve all the challenges experienced by the traditional leadership in the Eastern Cape Province.
