Alfred Nzo District Municipality Council has resolved to appoint Mr N. Xolo as Acting Municipal Manager. This comes after Mr Z. Sikhundla’s contract of employment with the Municipality has come to an end.
According to the statement issued by the head of communications for the Alfred Nzo District Municipality, Lixolile Petela, the Municipality is undergoing the process of recruiting a Municipality Manager who will assume the role for a five-year contract.
“The council has thus resolved to appoint Mr Xolo, who is the Senior Manager responsible for Corporate Services within the Municipality”, said Petela.
Petela says the resolution states that Mr Xolo will act as Municipal Manager for a period from the 15th of August until the 31st of August or until the Municipal Manager recruitment process is completed, or whichever comes first.
The Municipality expects that the recruitment process will not drag longer than necessary in order to ensure that the work of the Council continues.
