The African National Congress (ANC) Alfred Nzo Region has officially postponed its much-anticipated Regional Conference, which was originally scheduled for 3–5 July 2025. The conference will now take place from 10–12 July 2025.

According to a statement released by the regional structure, the postponement is due to “outstanding matters that need to be attended by structures of the ANC” to ensure that the conference is credible and conducted without dispute. The statement emphasises that the delay aligns with the ANC’s broader agenda of Renewal, which prioritises integrity and credibility at the core of party activities.

Among the issues cited are unresolved disputes and grievances from some branch members within the region. The party indicated that, as a “caring organisation,” it is committed to providing time to address and resolve every concern raised.

“The ANC will give time to listen to each and every grievance, and as such, enough time must be provided for such processes to conclude,” the statement read.

The region reiterated that the postponement is necessary to maintain transparency, uphold organisational principles, and ensure the smooth running of the conference when it does proceed next week.
