After the honorable Mayor of Ntabankulu Local Municipality Cllr Tsileng Sobuthongo communicated with the honorable Minister of Higher Education Dr Blade Nzimande in the year 2021 September regarding the construction of College of Agriculture in Ntabankulu.

According to the Municipality, the College is about to be built even as the first construction (Phase 01) has been approved for R80 million. The Department of Education with it’s contractors will construct this College with the use of its branch which is Ingwe TVET College, that is close to Ntabankulu.

The Municipality says that before the end of April 2023, the Mayor and the Minister are preparing to officially turn the soil and as the work is expected to start soon.

This development in Ntabankulu is expected to bring a lot of development in Ntabankulu, and increase the level of education and skills for young people.

Cannabis farmers in Ntabankulu are expected to benefit as much, as a Cannibis Processing Plant will be built right on the premises of the College.
