Lilitha Nursing College applications for 2024

The Eastern Cape Department of Health’s Lilitha College of Nursing is inviting applications for its three-year Diploma in Nursing (R171). This program is designed for young, compassionate, and caring individuals eager to start a career in nursing or upgrade their current qualifications with the support of their employer.

Program Overview

The program offers a Basic Diploma in Nursing Science and will commence in February 2025. Successful candidates will join the ranks of nursing professionals contributing to healthcare improvement across the Eastern Cape Province.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must submit a well-written application letter accompanied by the following:

  • Certified Grade 12 certificate with an aggregate D or E/S symbol (750 points or more for the old certificate) meeting the minimum requirements for diploma admission.
  • Grade 12 mid-year results for current scholars.
  • Compulsory subjects: English (Level 4 or D symbol), and Biology/Life Sciences (Level 4 or D symbol). Additional science subjects (e.g., Physical Science, Mathematics, Geography, Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Life Orientation) are advantageous. Applicants must achieve a minimum of 24 points on the Admission Point System.
  • Certified identity document and marriage certificate (if applicable).
  • Study leave confirmation letter from a supervisor for serving officers.
  • Curriculum vitae with reliable contact information and a clear physical address.
  • Non-refundable application fee of R50.00, deposited into the Lilitha College of Nursing account:
