Lungelo Hlongwane‘s story is one of transformation and dedication. Born in Durban’s Umlazi township on September 12, 1998, Hlongwane initially aspired to become a professional football player. However, his path took an unexpected turn when he found his true calling in music.

Currently a student at Coastal KZN TVET College, studying Civil Engineering, Hlongwane is deeply rooted in his faith as a born-again Christian. In 2015, he joined the worship team at God is Love Fellowship International, under the guidance of Apostle SM Paneng, where he began his musical journey.

Discovered by the Living Hope Project company in 2018, Hlongwane released his debut album, “Qhubeka Nkosi,” marking the beginning of his musical career. Over the years, he has honed his skills and shared stages with renowned artists such as Dumi Mkostad, Jumbo, Malusi Mbokazi, and Ayanda Ntanzi. He even graced the Joyous Celebration Restoration in 2020, showcasing his talent on tracks like “Akasoze” and “Qhubeka Nkosi.”

Despite pursuing Civil Engineering, Hlongwane remains committed to his music career, recently releasing his single “Uyangilwela Ubaba” under Abongwe Events and Communication. With a belief in the power of music to spread the word of God, Hlongwane continues to inspire audiences with his heartfelt melodies and unwavering faith.
