The breakthrough came just before halftime when youngster Mduduzi Shabalala dazzled the defense with his skill and scored a well-taken goal in the 45th minute, giving Amakhosi the lead.
In the second half, Chiefs maintained their dominance in possession, while Chippa United struggled to create solid attacking opportunities. Despite some late pressure and a near-equalizer from Bienvenu Eva Nga, Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma stood firm to protect the lead.
The win moves Kaizer Chiefs to seventh place in the standings and gives the team a much-needed confidence boost with a strong defensive performance.
