On 18 August, the Kumkani Mhlontlo Municipality Infrastructure Service Department visited the new community hall in Sithangameni Village, Ward 18 , Qumbu. The visit followed a municipal decision to monitor all ongoing projects and ensure contractors deliver quality work to benefit residents.

  1. Modern Facilities
The hall includes flushing toilets, a kitchen, an office, and a storeroom, built to meet current standards.
  2. Quality Oversight
Municipal officials inspected the project to check how contractors carry out their work and ensure services reach the community.
  3. Project Near Completion
Construction is almost finished, with final touches still underway by the contractor.
  4. Community Benefits
Once completed, the hall will provide a space for meetings, events, and other essential activities for residents.
  5. Commitment to Service Delivery
The municipality emphasizes monitoring projects closely to guarantee timely and efficient delivery of public services.

While the Kumkani Mhlontlo Municipality has pledged to address infrastructure issues in Ward 18, some residents remain skeptical about whether promised support will materialise.
