Thuli from Ratanda in Heidelberg Gauteng pleads Pondoland Times to help her find her mother’s family. This desperate woman says her mother’s name was Victoria Mprofethi Nyawuza and was born in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape.
According to the limited information Thuli has, her mother moved to Gauteng with their grandmother between 1964 and 1968 when she was about nine years old. Thuli does not know her grandmother’s name but knows her by her clan names which are Tshezi, Nyawuza and Zitha.
She adds that, her grandmother took her mother to Gauteng because she was sick and was being taken to pastor Makoti in SOWETO who was supposed to pray for her and heal her.
This is where Victoria was left by her mother who never went back to fetch Victoria.
Victoria then grew up in Gauteng, “my grandmother left my mother in Gauteng and never looked back, my mother then found my father and had her child(ren) in Gauteng and passed away here.” Says Thuli.
Thuli tells Pondoland Times that the only thing she knows about her mother’s family is that they are from Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape and that her grandmother was known as a prayerful woman.
Thuli begs anyone who might have information about Victoria Mprofethi Nyawuza to please share the information with Pondoland Times so she can be connected with her mother’s family.
