Gagasi FM has announced that Felix Hlophe, host of its popular morning show The Uprising, will be off-air until mid-January 2026. The Durban-based station confirmed the break will allow internal processes to unfold and give Hlophe time to handle personal matters.
The announcement was made via an official media statement on Monday, 29 December 2025.
What We Know About the Break
According to Gagasi FM, Felix Hlophe will be away from the station for at least three weeks. He is expected to return on Monday, 19 January 2026, subject to the completion of internal proceedings.
The station noted the break will allow space to assess matters that have surfaced on social media and in the media.
“This will allow the station to further assess the situation being reported… and to give Felix the space to attend to personal matters requiring his attention,” the statement reads .
Who Will Fill In on The Uprising
During Hlophe’s absence:
- Heazy will take over as host of The Uprising
- The crossover show will be hosted by Selbeyonce and Linda “Mr Magic” Sibiya
Gagasi FM said it will not issue further comment while the matter is being dealt with internally.
