Fashion designer Noluthando Ngoqo aims to be an aspiration through her work

Fashion enthusiast Noluthando Ngoqo is a proud owner and fashion designer that has established her own brand called Bosslady Tee Clothing.

The 37-year-old Lusikisiki born is currently residing in Durban where her studio clothing boutique opened doors in 2012 and she has two employees under her wing.

Her clothing line has gained a clientele base at national and international platforms. She mainly specializes in unisex clothing range. For women she designs and makes evening ball gowns, wedding dresses as well as casual wear. As for men she only specialises in formal and traditional wear.

Ngoqo has had the pleasure to dress the Kwa-Zulu Natal television presenters.

In August 2022 she launched a range within her brand which is the modern mpondo traditional style that caters for any event her client’s desire..

“The mpondo traditional wear was created to ensure that we redefine style by portraying inclusivity of the mpondo colours in modern wear.” she said

I utilize platforms such as Facebook and Instagram as a marketing tool. It is where people will find my work, and I supply nationwide and also cater to my international clients. – she said.

Ngoqo’s love for fashion began after she opted to study a diploma in Lindiwe Khuzwayo Academy.

She said that over the years she has mentored and trained individuals by providing them with internships in order to obtain a clearer in-depth understanding of what the field entails.

This field requires one to be passionate, consistent, tenacious and perseverance. – said Ngoqo

She had to close down her branch in East London due to a global coronavirus pandemic which came with unfavorable challenges.

She said that she has plans to open a Johannesburg based second branch in the near future and create employment for individuals in the fashion space.—Photos / Supplied
