Mother’s Day lunch, Wild Coast Sun

When we think of Mother’s Day, it is a time we spend as a family, often around the table to a delicious Sunday lunch.

This is exactly what the Wild Coast Sun is offering on Sunday, 09 May 2021 at Chico’s restaurant from 13h00.

Gather around the table, with the Indian Ocean as a backdrop, and feast on a delicious selection of hot and cold, and savoury and sweet dishes.

At the salad bar, guests can choose from a variety of fresh avocados coated with sundried tomatoes dressing, classic potatoes & eggs salad with spring onion and micro shoots, cucumber and orange salad dressed with pickled ginger & honey dressing, a Hellenic salad or marinated mushrooms and olives salad.

Enjoy a cosy selection of warm buffet dishes such Butternut soup served with bread roll and butter, Traditional lamb, vegetable, or chicken curry, Old-fashioned Macaroni & cheese or Russian beef stroganoff.

What is Sunday lunch without the traditional roast options such as roast beef or roast chicken with trimmings of Roast potatoes, Grilled baby marrows with mushrooms and Fresh herbed glazed baby carrots. For something sweet, enjoy a wide selection of homemade mini desserts and ice cream.

Due to Covid-19 health and safety protocol, all visitors to the hotel must book in advance and undergo a screening at the resort entrance upon arrival.

Towards the end of 2020, the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa upgraded Sun International’s only beachfront resort to four stars in the hotel category, following recent upgrades and improvements.

Located just 5km from Port Edward, the resort straddles the border between KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape provinces. It is a two-hour drive from Durban’s King Shaka International Airport.
