Learners with smartphones can also use the MatricsMate.

How it works

  • Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
  • Register using your exam details
  • Results are delivered directly through the app once released

This option is useful for learners who prefer an app-based service rather than SMS.

Important:

  • Online platforms may experience high traffic and delays on release day
  • Results displayed online are provisional

When will results be sent?

Matric results will be released nationally on the official date announced by the
Department of Basic Education, following approval by Umalusi.

  • Results are often sent late at night or early in the morning
  • SMS, USSD and app notifications may be released in batches

What to do if you do not receive your results

If your results do not arrive:

  • Double-check that your ID or exam number is correct
  • Ensure you have airtime
  • Wait a few hours and try again
  • Use another method such as:
    • USSD
    • Online platforms
    • Your school

Important reminder for learners

  • SMS, USSD, app and online results are for information purposes only
  • Your official statement of results must be collected from your school
