Eastern Cape scholar shuttle services upgrades

The Eastern Cape Department of Transport (ECDoT) has introduced a new a technological upgrade on the scholar transport management to start on the 17th of January 2024.

Learner Transport Management System (LTMS) is a new dawn to daily operations on school’s shuttle operations as it will put a pen to errors and manipulation of human actions. According to the, ECDoE is convinced that this system is a far sighted and will prove to be of utmost importance to the protection of taxpayer’s money, while of course moulding and monitoring the entire process. The program was made to avoid corruption on payment processes, ensure correct and accurate data is recorded.

The Eastern Cape Department of Transport, Xolile Nqatha applauded the innovation on this program that will further the course of development to the scholar shuttle system.

I expect a good outcome on this establishment and I am very proud, dedicated and driven to see it succeed. This innovation aims to address the internal control deficiencies that have been identified in the Auditor General’s report on the Scholar Transport Program. Through ongoing training for transport operators, Eastern Cape is hoping to proactively improve on its effectiveness. LTMS is a crucial level to advancing the purpose of education and integrity of the province of the Eastern Cape. – said Nqatha.
