Lower Cabazana principal Nkosentsha Ntintili vows to improve boxing sport in rural areas, especially in schools. Principal Ntintili says he started playing boxing in 1985. Ever since then, his involvement in boxing has produced many talented individuals.

“I started teaching boxing sport in 1993 at Ebaleni high school in Bizana. That following year, I moved to Brooksneck primary School where I continued teaching pupils boxing .” said Ntintili

Ntintili says people need to understand that boxing is more than just a sport but it also teaches kids discipline and keep them out of the streets. He further says he has two boxing clubs under Mount Ayliff town where he starts teaching both girls and boys at the age of 12 years.

“Grooming kids at this very young age has never been easy, especially in rural areas. I have faced too many challenges along the way but my eager is to see one of these kids becoming professional boxers one day.” said Ntintili

Moreover Ntintili says he had to change the club’s name from being called Cabazana Boxing club and renamed it to Cabazana Boxing hub. He further says there are kids who are already getting stipend from Eastern Cape sport department.
