Ilungile Mvimbi, the reigning princess of Mr. and Miss Radiance Junior, recently demonstrated that being a beauty queen is not just about looks, but about making a positive impact in the community. On August 22nd, she visited Mdatya Senior Primary School to donate sanitary towels and lead an anti-bullying campaign.
Ilungile believes that sanitary towels are a basic human right, and no girl should miss school due to lack of access to them. Her donation aims to support young girls in need and promote menstrual hygiene.
During her anti-bullying talk, Ilungile emphasized the long-lasting effects of bullying and encouraged learners to report incidents to teachers. She also shared her insight that bullies are often victims of abuse or grow up in violent environments, and may find victims at school.
Mrs. Yekani, a representative from Mdatya Primary School, expressed gratitude for Ilungile’s donation, which will support the school’s existing initiative to assist young girls during their period. She also acknowledged the school’s constitution and policy on bullying, and noted an improvement in behavior, especially among young girls, after Ilungile’s motivational talk.
Ilungile’s visit has inspired learners to become agents of change, with many aspiring to make a positive impact like her when they grow up. Her initiative demonstrates the power of community involvement and leadership in creating a better future for all.
