BIZANA-BORN MISS TEEN WORLD SOUTH AFRICA Contestant Liyema Mazule is asking the public to help her achieve her goals by voting for her through an SMS to become a finalist in the pageantry. MISS TEEN WORLD SOUTH AFRICA is an international annual beauty pageant held in Ecuador that looks for authentic, confident young women and men between fifteen and nineteen.
Multi-crown holder Liyema started her modeling journey in 2018 and in 2019 was crowned as Miss Port Edward where she got to share a stage with Zozibini Tunzi. She describes herself as someone who likes challenges and who is always willing to try something out and make the best of everything that she does.
“Through my modeling journey I have learned that modeling isn’t just about being on stage and stage, it’s also a platform to be active in your community and help out people by doing events such as charities, or having a positive impact in your community,” she says. She adds that modeling has also taught her that we don’t always get things our way, sometimes you put in effort what matters is consistency, continuing with what you started, and never giving up on your dreams.
“My purpose in life is to bring hope, kindness, and love to people. Growing up in the Eastern Cape and interacting with different people form of sports codes and that how much poverty is still affecting us,” she says. She adds that she strives to give hope to the disadvantaged background and reach her dreams and show people just how where you come from doesn’t have to determine where you are going.
“Entering MISS TEEN WORLD SOUTH AFRICA means that I will be risking money, time, and resources, and winning will mean that what I have risked putting in doesn’t go in vain. Taking this crown will allow me to represent my country overseas which is an opportunity that comes with great experience and exposure to reach the Miss South Africa which is my goal”
Helping the needy by starting her own organization to help students with applications and help first-year students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds to have the food they need for the first months is what she advocates for.
