The African National Congress (ANC) in the Alfred Nzo Region has officially postponed its highly anticipated 5th Regional Conference, which was set to run from 10 to 12 July 2025. The decision was confirmed in a letter circulated to branch secretaries and delegates on Wednesday, 09 July, by Regional Task Team (RTT) Coordinator, Cde. Polelo Mohale.
According to the statement, the postponement follows a special RTT meeting and is attributed to “outstanding matters” that require attention from the ANC’s upper structures. These include ongoing disputes and unresolved issues from several branches within the region.
“We want to ensure that the ANC Regional Conference is credible and without any qualms,” the statement reads.
The ANC Alfred Nzo RTT has not provided a new date for the conference but emphasized its commitment to resolving all pending issues before proceeding. Cde. Mohale invited members seeking clarity to contact him directly via email or mobile.
The postponement comes as the ANC continues to navigate internal challenges across various regions ahead of its national centenary commemorations and election planning efforts.
This is a developing story.
