Today marks the end of the mourning period of the Mpondo nation, since the passing of the late King Zanozuko Tyelovuyo Sigcau. Some activities such as the festival and the coronation of the king were suspended during this period.
Her majesty acting Queen Nobandla Sigcau and the royal family thank all who observed and supported them.
As the first activity post the mourning period on the 1st of September her majesty will attend the African Traditional Medicine Day by the MEC of health hon. Nomakhosazana Meth at the Ntabankulu Multipurpose Centre where she will be a guest of honour.
Her majesty says, she wishes the Mpondo nation and South Africans at large a happy heritage month.
The Mpondo Culture and Heritage Festival that takes place annually since 2006, this year it will take place on the 10-11 of September in Ntabankulu.
