Applications are hereby invited from community members who have passed grade 12 or who are currently doing grade 12 and residing within Ingquza Hill Local Municipality jurisdiction that would like to further their education with institutions of higher learning in South Africa for the academic year 2022.
Conditions of Eligibility:
- The applicant must have passed Grade 12/Senior Certificate or currently doing grade 12
- The applicant must meet admission requirements for the tertiary academic institution concerned within the borders of South Africa.
- The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years.
- The applicant is from a financially deserving family whose parents/guardian/s are earning less than R350 000.00 per annum jointly for him/her to receive first preference.
- The applicant must study under the following fields: Information Communication Technology, Town Planning, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Financial Management and Maritime Studies.
Requirements:
Applicants should submit the following documents:
- Acceptance letter/proof of application/provisional acceptance letter from the prospective institution
- Quotation of fee structure inclusive of accommodation and prescribed textbooks
- A proof of salary payslip/in the case of grant dependant a certified copy of the receipt of a grant must be submitted.
- Grade 12 final results for out-of-school applicants or June and Trial examination results for applicants who are currently doing grade 12.
- The application letter must be addressed to the attention of the Acting Municipal Manager signed by the applicant and have an official stamp by the respective Ward Councillor.
- Proof of residence
Faxed, emailed or late applications will NOT be accepted and will not be responded to.
The closing date for submissions is 20 January 2022. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
Applicants who do not get a response from the municipality within three months after the closing should assume that they were not successful.
