The OR Tambo Homage Concert is on it’s 4rd installment, it has officially started. The annual event gathers a mixture of old and yourthful audience from across the country.

This year, boast performances from local and international acclaimed superstars. Locally, the audience is being entertained by:

Put together by VDS Concepts, an events company founded by Volo Da Saint, a locally, nationally and internationally recognized Dj and philanthropist from Bizana.

This installment is sponsored by by the likes of Hunters, Savannah, 4th Street Wines just to name a few. As early as 14h00 event goers and die-hard followers of the ORTHC started to flock the gates of Bizana Village SSS.

The OR Tambo Homage Concert is well-known for creating many temporal job opportunities which benefit the local economy and local SMMEs.

Speaking to one of the 10 bartenders at the event; “I am happy to be part of this event. As someone who works with sales, the experience that I will get from being part of this ORTHC will open more doors for me. I am also gaining work experience as a bartender which I can use at other events such as this.” – said Phumla Mpiti

Nono Computers, an IT company based in Bizana and Flagstaff who also specializes in VIP Toilets was at the event. As a service provider, Phindile Mlanjana said he is happy to have his company afforded an opportunity to contribute to the ORTHC.

Apart from the entertainment, the ORTHC also opens opportunities to local businesses such as restaurants, local pop-up kitchens and local chefs.

Maqholo Trading and Projects had a stall at the event to serve food. Speaking to Pondoland Times, “I hope to sell everything today, and bring some food on the table when I get home.” Said Nonina Kwezi, a local chef and kitchen owner. Her kicten is found at the newly revamped Bizana rank.

Nono Mtyide from Yours Truly, By Sinono is serving some really delisious meals from as little as R25,00. Serving dishes from hot dog rolls, boerewors rolls, wings, speed braai, wings and Russians. The company is based in the Alfred Nzo district with Mtyide hailing from Rockville, in Ntlenzi locality but ready to service the whole Eastern Cape.
