Port st Johns police detectives are persistently seeking community back up in tracing a suspect who shot and murdered two adult males aged 62 and 70 at Mhlotsheni locality in Majola administrative area. The incident occurred on the 10th of August at about 8:30 according to the police spokesperson Sergeant Kaya Matola Mvanyashe.

“It is alleged that on August 10 at about 8:33 three elderly people  were on their way to Mhlotsheni locality when they were called by an unknown male suspect who appeared from the nearby bushes and fired several shots at them”

The two male victims aged 60 and 72 years succumbed to their injuries while the wife of one of the victims was unhurt.

The reason for the murderers remains an unsolved mystery and police are investigating 2 cases of murder. Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in the investigation to contact Lieutenant Mandla Miya 082 779 7259 or 047 564 1189
