Music brings people together be it in good or bad times, people get to decode what they feel through music. Phikolomzi Zikhali is a music fanatic born in Port Saint Johns grew up in Bizana (Ludeke Halt) his love for music specifically gqom music lead him into the production field.

They say when your family and friends approve of your talent and skills you are most likely ready to show the world, the 22-year-old Phikolomzi Zikhali (stage name Dj Owam) got his first approval from his sister Ziyanda Zikhali and friend Siphosenkosi Ntleko. Since 2018 Dj Owam never looked back, he produced his first gqom remix back in 2020 which received positive feedback from listeners.

He has since been able to release his gqom mix surrender by Natalie Taylor and was able reach 10k plays in one day, the young Dj has gained a lot of respect in Bizana, Port Saint Johns, Kokstard and Mthatha the mix is currently sitting at 60k plays on Audio Mack.

Teaming up with Mawande Ngcobo the young men released a music video which  they believe boosted their number of followers. the duo has been able to host a successful event at one of the prominent venues in Bizana.
