The Eastern Cape Department of Education (ECDOE) joined learners, teachers, and community members in Lusikisiki on 21 November 2025 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of HH Majiza Secondary School. During the event, the Department handed over Maths, Science, and Technology kits to boost classroom performance and strengthen STEM learning. The handover also recognised the school’s strong academic record and its commitment to community partnerships.
What Happened
HH Majiza Secondary School celebrated 75 years of shaping young minds. To honour the milestone, ECDOE delivered new Maths, Science, and Technology kits designed to support practical learning. The school, known for strong academic results, used the celebration to reflect on its cultural values and its long-standing role in the community.
“These tools will help our learners compete at the highest level and prepare them for future careers,” a senior educator said.
