The G20 Townhall Community Engagement is underway at the Cosy Posy Conference Centre in Lusikisiki, ahead of South Africa’s hosting of the G20 Summit on 22–23 November 2025. The event aims to align local priorities with global investment and innovation goals.
What Happened
Ingquza Hill Local Municipality mayor P.N. Pepping, officially opened the session by reaffirming the municipality’s commitment to economic growth and partnership.
“We stand ready to partner with all stakeholders to advance innovation, investment, and collaboration that will uplift our communities and strengthen our local economy,” said Pepping.
The townhall features key discussions on cannabis development, N2 biodiversity, and climate change, issues viewed as central to sustainable growth in the region.
