The Health District closed October with a Breast Cancer and Mental Health Awareness. Event for staff, held in partnership with Reach for Recovery, Thuthuzela Rape Crisis Centre, and other organizations. The event promoted early detection and emotional wellbeing among employees.
What Happened?
Staff participated in educational talks, counselling sessions, and survivor story sharing. The program aimed to encourage employees to prioritize both their physical and mental health, fostering a supportive work environment.
“Awareness and early detection save lives, while mental wellbeing strengthens our resilience,” said a district representative.
