Raymond Mhlaba Municipality officially concluded Transport Month with a large-scale road safety operation along the R63 near the University of Fort Hare in eDikeni. The initiative united several departments in a coordinated effort to promote road safety and regulatory compliance.
What Happened?
On 31 October 2025 ,the final Transport Month operation revealed a range of traffic offenses and noncompliance issues. Law enforcement officers discovered two vehicles without valid license discs, issued 38 warrants, and revoked two expired taxi permits. The campaign reflected the municipality’s ongoing efforts to tackle unsafe driving and strengthen public awareness about traffic laws.
The operation formed part of a broader month-long initiative that combined education, enforcement, and collaboration across departments to ensure safer mobility within the Raymond Mhlaba jurisdiction.
