The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced that COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant payments for the month of October 2025 will be made from Thursday, 24 October to Wednesday, 29 October 2025.
During this period, beneficiaries whose applications have been approved will receive their R370 payments directly into their bank accounts or through their selected payment methods.

How to Cancel Your SRD Grant
If you no longer wish to receive the SRD grant, you can cancel it online:
- Go to https://srd.sassa.gov.za
- Enter your ID number and cell phone number
- Follow the prompts and select the period you wish to cancel
- Submit your cancellation request
Beneficiaries are reminded to ensure their bank details are correct and to regularly check their payment status on the SASSA SRD website.
