AmaMpondo King Zanozuko Tyelovuyo Sigcau passed away on Tuesday night last week after a short illness.
His Majesty King Zanozuko Tyelovuyo Sigcau will be laid to rest on the 21 June 2022 at Ndimakude Great Place,
Flagstaff, Eastern Cape.
According to the Presidency, “a Special Official Funeral Category 1 entails elements of military ceremonial honours and is declared, in line with the Presidency’s State, Official and Provincial Official Funeral Policy, for persons of extraordinary credentials specifically designated by the President of the Republic of South Africa.”
The Royal family had requested for His Majesty to be granted a category 1 special official funeral in his honour
which is the prerogative of His Excellency the President. The Royal family is awaiting confirmation in this regard.
The Royal family has thanked the nation for prayers and messages of condolences.
