Vumile Manxusa accused of raping a 6 year old girl at Ikhwezi Lomso Edu Center Kwa-Bhaca, earlier this month abandoned his bail application on Monday at Mt Frere regional court. Manxusa’s case has then been postponed to the 5th of July 2022.
In support of the victim, Mt Frere residents were picketing outside court on Monday saying No Bail to the perpetrator.
Zukiswa Gopi, the victim’s mother says she is happy that Manxusa is behind bars
“What I saw in court was amazing, I was very happy to see soo many people in court, supporting me in this fight”, says the mother.
According to reports the 6 year old victim was having lunch alongside her school mates when the alleged rapist snatched her and took her to an old shack within school premises, where he allegedly raped the girl.
