The National Prosecuting Authority’s Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) has dismissed recent media reports alleging that an arrest warrant had been issued for National Police Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola, and others.

According to IDAC, these claims are entirely false. The directorate stated that it has received several media queries in recent weeks and has noted the publication of multiple articles repeating the allegations. IDAC emphasised that it has consistently informed the media that no such warrants exist.

IDAC reiterated its position that the reports are baseless and urged the media to verify information before publishing. Enquiries regarding the matter can be directed to IDAC spokesperson Henry Mamothame.
