Sinenkani FC has announced that its legal team is reviewing the recent arbitration ruling concerning a dispute between the club, FC Ravens, and the South African Football Association (SAFA). The dispute centered around the disciplinary committee (DC) ruling that previously penalised FC Ravens by forfeiting three points for allegedly violating Rule 30.1 of SAFA’s uniform competition rules.

The arbitration outcome, however, overturned the DC’s decision, reinstating the points to FC Ravens — a move that Sinenkani FC believes undermines the integrity of the rules governing SAFA competitions.

“We have instructed our Legal Team to look into the matter and give a way forward,” the club said in an official statement shared on social media. “We will act in the best interest of the masses in whatever way forward we agree on.”

The club criticised the arbitrator for disregarding what it describes as the clear application of SAFA’s uniform rules. It argues that rules must be applied consistently and upheld across the board, regardless of the club involved.

Sinenkani FC has committed to keeping its supporters and the public informed of further developments and potential legal steps.

“We wish to assure the nation that we are not taking this matter lightly,” the statement concluded.

This development adds another layer of tension to what has become a high-stakes administrative battle in regional football governance.
