Mr and Miss Bizana/Winnie 2021 invites the youth of Bizana to participate in the pageant taking place on the 18th of December 2021 at Roma Hall.
Male, Female and The LGBTQ+ Community young people are invited to participate ages 15 to 25, the purpose of this pageant is to empower youth by exposing it to opportunities outside the ordinary way of thinking and doing things. Mr and Miss Bizana/Winnie2021 also invites local artists and designers to participate by showcasing their abilities in the occasion.
The organisers of the event are not looking at the traditional way of running pageants, hence there is no emphasis on the word beauty. Xolisa Nabile, who is one of the directors says, the idea is to make the youth more conscious about the state of the country. How the involvement of the youth can help salvage the economic conditions that are currently surfacing, due to Covid 19 and other underlying factors.
All creatives are invited to be part of this initiative to make means to alleviate the far-reaching amount of substance abuse level of crime in the communities.
