The wait is almost over for the Class of 2024! The Minister of Basic Education, Ms Siviwe Gwarube, will announce the outcome of the 2024 National Senior Certificate examinations on January 13, 2025. The results will be released to candidates the following day, January 14, 2025.

Candidates can obtain their statements of results from their school or examination center, or access them online from 6 am on January 14, 2025. However, please note that some results may not be available due to technical issues.

Important Dates and Deadlines

  • January 13, 2025: Minister’s announcement of the examination outcome
  • January 14, 2025: Results released to candidates
  • January 31, 2025: Closing date for re-mark/re-check applications
  • February 7, 2025: Closing date for June NSC examination applications
  • March 14, 2025: Release of re-marking results

Re-marking and Re-checking

Candidates can apply for re-marking or re-checking of their examination scripts at a prescribed fee. The fees are R116.00 for re-marking and R29.00 for re-checking per subject. Viewing of scripts is also available at a fee of R220.00, but only after a re-mark or re-check of results.

June NSC Examinations

Candidates who want to improve their results or complete outstanding results can register for the June NSC examination. The closing date for applications is February 7, 2025. For more information on the conditions for entry and registration requirements, please visit the Department of Basic Education’s website.
