Cape Town City has named Muhsin Ertugral as their new Technical Director, with the experienced coach also stepping in as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. Ertugral replaces Eric Tinkler, who was dismissedearlier this week following a string of poor performances.
Tinkler’s departure brings an end to his four-year tenure with the Citizens, a period that began in 2021 when he succeeded Jan Olde Riekerink. The club has now turned to Ertugral to steer the team back on track after a challenging spell in the Betway Premiership.
Ertugral will be supported in his new role by assistant coaches Diogo Peral and former City captain Lebogang Manyama, as the team aims to reverse their recent decline and improve their standing in the league.
