16 DAYS LEFT TILL THE RELEASE OF MATRIC RESULTS IN SOUTH AFRICA

Date:

Today, 05 January 2023, about 16 days till the release and publication of matric results in South Africa.

The festive season is over and reality has started to hit for 2022 matriculates who wrote their exams last year.

Over 921 000 pupils sat in the exam room and took part in what was to determine their near future after high school.

Currently facing the sad reality of living in South Africa is that not everyone will be fortunate enough to get employed nor admitted to their designated universities as space is always limited.

Nontlantla Ngwenya, a former matric pupil says 2022 was not an easy year for her and that resulted in mental breakdowns while she studied for her exams.

“It was very overwhelming and depressing. I’ve had many  mental breakdowns during the exam period. When I was revising for some exams…I would just close my books and cry. Every morning before writing my exams I would have panic attacks. 2022 was a very stressful year for me knowing that whatever step and decision I make determines my future. Some days I felt like giving up but then I would remind myself of the ultimate goal. I’m very scared of failure so that’s what kept me going”, she said.

She adds on and states that she has prepared herself for results while Samkeliwise Nkosu also a matriculates says she’s not ready for the release of matric results

Nkosi has however shared that she’s looking forward to studying further for the course she applied for.

“This year I am hoping to study further. I am waiting on a full confirmation that I’ve been accepted into a university for the course I want to do”, she said.
