When talent is recognized, appreciated, and supported, it yields the expected outcome – success topped up by excellence. This is evident at Zamilizwe Primary School, where the school stops at nothing to reach its full potential. On November 20, 2024, Zamilizwe hosted a curriculum and prize-giving day at the school hall. The event was graced by the presence of Honourable Mayor T.D Mafumbatha, District Directors, subject advisors, Chief N. Mbalwa, Dr. Bishop Mxhelwana, and parents.
“If it were up to me, she would have continued at Zamilizwe. She is what she is today because of Zamilizwe; it’s a perfect school; they treat our children like their own,” said Olwakhe Mlindazwe’s mother.
Founding Principles and Vision
The principal, Mrs. Twabu, shared the school’s vision: to strengthen relationships among parents, teachers, and learners to produce well-disciplined and independent citizens through quality education. The mission statement emphasizes academic excellence through effective teaching and learning, sound communication, and developing responsibility, accountability, confidence, and independent thinking.
Key to Success
Mrs. Twabu credits prayer and a united team for the school’s success. Since joining in 2005, the school has grown from six staff members and 175 learners to 26 staff members and 1,046 learners.
