WINNIE MADIKIZELA MANDELA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY MAYOR FINALLY RESPONDS TO THE CRIES OF WARD 2 RESIDENTS

After long considerations, Winnie Madikizela Mandela Local Municipality mayor Hon Daniswa Mafumbatha finally visited the ward on Monday the 13th of February 20223 to give an ear to the complaining residents.

Ward 2 Ward Cllr Sindisiwe Mphoswa said she can confirm that the mayor did come and promised the residents that in three weeks’ time there will be an introduction of a contractor to fix ward 2 roads.

“This is not the first promise of its kind, but we will remain hopeful until we see Road construction at Ntamonde. But if the mayor doesn’t keep her promises we will then take the next step because we are going to fight tooth and nail for service delivery in our ward”,said Mosuli Cwele a resident at Ntamonde village in ward.

According to reports the mayor informed the residents that on the 27th of February 2023 there will be a council meeting to discuss these issues. And promised ward 2 residents that on the first week of March 2023 the municipality will be done with the processes of appointing a contractor for ward 2 road construction.

Residents are now looking forward to the next 3 weeks for the start of the road construction project.
